The 23,000 SF buildout for Gravity Payments, a credit card processing firm, encompasses two floors in The Commons mixed-use complex in Ballard, also built by W.G. Clark, with a design that reflects the contemporary taste and high energy of its young staff. The “Main Street” concept, in which spaces have been designed to demonstrate that Gravity Payments understands the nature of the typical clients they serve, involved creating spaces with unique designs, colors, finishes and diverse material choices that took a tremendous amount of preplanning and coordination by our Special Projects Group.
General office space is designed with an open concept for maximum staff interaction. Smaller breakout areas are available for team meetings or private conversations, with a quiet “library” room available for activities requiring concentration. Facilities also include an employee lounge, cafe space and showers.
The project was honored with a 2018 AGC Build Washington award for tenant improvements under $5,000,000.
