At the Lakeview Plaza office complex, Google’s Kirkland headquarters, our preconstruction efforts included working with the design team and owner to value engineer the project and to develop cost-effective design solutions. These included MEP systems and the building exterior wall and glazing systems. To meet the stringent zoning clear height requirement, we submitted design alternatives for HVAC and roof slope solutions in order to maintain interior ceiling heights and not have to lower the buildings, which would have required much more soil excavation and  export, as well as much lower building profiles.
